Breakfast Muse
Smell of coffee, sip of juice;
Talking crows alive and loose.
A frantic morning ruins the day;
Peaceful starts pave the way.
Weary travelers stand in line.
Seeking what? Never mind.
Sunshine smiles upon my soul
As I lift oats from my bowl.
My mouth plays with the meal.
I hope this will make me feel
Healthy, fit and made anew.
Too much to ask them to do?
I suppose. Where do I turn?
You'd think by now I'd learn.
Breakfast time fades away;
Hope and Love? Here to stay.

Human Connections
For some time now, I have held the profound belief that human connections keep us balanced. If we cut ourselves off from those who love us or those we love, we become less balanced than if we avail ourselves of good relationships. How odd that, as a younger person, I thought simple conversation might often be a waste of time. Now I view conversation as healing potion.
